(I should be working on the art for my DCBB right now, because I haven't had much time during the week with both jobs working me into the ground, and I won't have time to work on art again - except for sketches - until 10:30 tonight because I have to work from noon to close with only a thirty minute break)

I think my Fall Lineup will only consist of two shows this season: Glee and Supernatural. I tried watching The Event, but 15 minutes in, I just wasn't feeling it. Chuck was alright, but I'm half a season behind and have no idea what's going on (why is Morgan a spy now?). I really want to see Boardwalk Empire (Steve Buscemiiii!!), but I don't have cable, so I'll have to catch some episodes somewhere or just buy the first season when it's available.

Glee: I enjoyed the first episode of the season and was genuinely excited about the potential club members....until they were cruelly ganked away. I fucking hate Rachel. I've hated her for a good part of season one; her subplot was stupid, her fake boyfriend had no personality whatsoever and was unlikable, and I just can't get behind her romance with Finn. Her mom, however, was fucking awesome. That's the only good thing that came out of Rachel's subplot. I completely loathe Rachel with all my heart now because of her shitty diva treatment of Sunshine, who was adorable and surprisingly kind (and has a better voice, full of HEART and SOUL and WARMTH), in spite of Rachel being a huge bitch. The scene in the bathroom, where Rachel gets her racism on? Made me want to throw my laptop at the tv.

Aside from Rachel, the rest of the episode was pretty good. I enjoyed Will realizing that he was being a complete asshole by ostracizing Coach Beiste (I was delightfully surprised to find that I liked her character a lot too); Sam is adorablecakes; and I'm glad that Tina dumped Artie for Mike, because Artie was a bad boyfriend (like, choosing a Halo marathon over her, or telling her that she should drop the goth look because it doesn't fit his taste) and Mike needs more recognition/screen time/lines. (I love Mike Chang, okay!)

Supernatural: Would it be bad if I said that I was hoping Dean would've pulled a Lee Adama and gained a few pounds? Just to drive the point home that he NEEDS hunting?

I'm not sure what to make of the Campbells. Just one episode with them and the entire thing felt too crowded. Assistant Director Skinner Grand-daddy Campbell and Jonas Quinn Christian can stay, but the other two feel like vestigial organs.

Generally, I liked watching Dean angst his way through figuring out his relationship with Lisa. I like that he did it for Sam; I dislike that he was a complete ass about it when Sam finally came back into his life. I really like that he decided to stay with Lisa at the end, though. Part of it is because Lisa and Ben are in danger now, but I want to think that some of it is Dean realizing that he needs to stay, not just out of obligation to Sam's wish or to Lisa's feelings that Ben needs a father figure, but because on some level, he needs them too.

I do, however, predict that by the fourth episode, Dean will be on the road again. Hopefully Lisa and Ben will still be alive.

And Castiel not answering Sam's prayers? That's worrisome.

Final thoughts: Yeah, this is the last season. If Ben Browder (or Claudia Black) shows up, it's OVER.

I'm not sure what I thought of this first episode of supernatural. Simply not sure at all...I await next weekend's episode to see more.
