I used to not believe in making resolutions, because I was the sort of person to lose the race before I even started running. I'm so dissatisfied with my life right now - where I am, where I'm not going - that I really do need to change. So, 2012 is the year where I try my hardest to change.
1. Exercise, eat right, generally take care of my health and appearance. I lost a lot of weight last year, but I did it the wrong way. I want to lose 10-15 lbs and do it the right way. OR (since BMI is complete rubbish when it comes to determining health through mass) if I weigh 160-145 lbs, I want it to be muscle, not fat.
2. Draw more. My art will be awesome(r) by next December.
3. Volunteer at my local NPR and do other things to build my resume.
4. Take a few classes through my local uni's continue studies department. They have some really interesting classes that I can afford.
5. Fix up car (summer, when I have a steadier paycheck)
6. Find a place that can teach me stage makeup. This actually fits into a 10-year plan. I enjoy facepainting at seasonal Job #2, and I want to try my hand at being a makeup artist for theater (and maybe eventually tv or movies).
(I kinda feel embarrassed admitting this)
7. Write more. Finish something - whether it's fanfiction, original fiction, a short story, a series of poems, or a novel.
