My cat loves food, but I measure out what he eats (breakfast, a snack & dinner with the occasional couple of treats a few times a week) so he doesn't get more than that. My mom is a vet though, so I have a definite advantage in taking care of my cat. Drinking a lot can be a sign of something wrong.
Depends on when you're around, but if you see her chewing on the cords, you could use a can of compressed air to blow at her. My cat hates that and it doesn't hurt him or anything else. Otherwise, yeah, the only thing I can think of is wrapping the cords in something. Ooo, or maybe someone makes a spray that doesn't taste good to cats that you could put on them.
