Try bubblewrap. It's a schlep to wrap up all the cables she can get to, but she will not like the bite/chew...POP! effect. The curtains... Does she have a scratch post? As for eating a lot, she might just be bored, or if she's drinking a lot as well, good bet is to ask your vet to check her out. Generally cats self-regulate as far as food is concerned, even spayed/neutered cats, and if they don't, there's a psych/physio problem somewhere.
