Holy hell. Today reached 85 degrees. 85 muthafuckin' degrees. In northern Indiana. INDIANA, FOLKS. FORT WAYNE, IF YOU WANT TO BE MORE SPECIFIC. Last year around this time, we were only in the 40's. Granted, last April was cold. However, the normal highs for April (in FW) seem to be from the 50's to the high 60's. None of this 85 degree Fahrenheit shit! Fort Wayne 2009 temperature chart thingie
(and the wind is blustery, which is normal, and it feels really nice. however, I cannot feel that niceness in my car, unless I roll down my windows, and then it's only an annoyance)
It was a good day, though. My insurance cards came in the mail (heeeee - insurance, I can has!); it's not the greatest coverage, but I'm a relatively healthy person, so my needs for health care are only basic (doctor visits, maybe prescriptions, etc). Living a year without insurance was a pain in the ass, even though my health was great.
I picked up the new Dresden Files book, Changes. I have yet to crack it open.
And then I discovered Archivers - a store aimed at bored women who decide to make scrapbooks and memory books. I have an interest in neither, but they do carry interesting patterned paper that I can use as covers to journals *_* Shiny journals, which I can peddle for moneys. Maybe. Or as shiny gifts to shiny people.
everysecondtuesday can back me on how awesome a handmade journal is as a gift.
So happy journal-making fun tiems and reading will ensue....some time.
Have a link! It's shiny and lolarious :D I snagged it from
bookshop LJ. Rodney McKay's RateMyProfessor Profile. (contributing is fun :D)
