everysecondtuesday. I should reciprocate with art and badly written fiction. Maybe I'll extend my end of the offer to people on my dreamroll....
Second, I'm reading this original slash fic that's gloriously indulgent when it comes to building the relationship and maddeningly mindful of the pace it sets. How many long chapters in and only now [SPOILER]? Also, the writer's female characters are interesting and less flat than a lot of the female characters I've read in origi-slash fic. And it's indulgently hurt-comfort. Bingo.
I've been reading this story for a week and I've only now hit the fourth part.
Kei's Gift by Ann Somerville. - When the worlds of a young, idealistic healer and an embittered, duty-bound general collide, their lives are changed forever. (from author's site) Read with care; there might be a few things that ping readers in a few areas. Otherwise, it's a compelling read.
